What we collect

When you request an instant quote or ask TheTaxPerson® to contact you, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the type of return you need, the income sources you select, and any notes you choose to share. We use this information only to prepare your estimate and to contact you about your tax preparation.

Text messaging (SMS) consent

By submitting the quote form with your phone number, you expressly consent to receive calls and text messages from TheTaxPerson® at the number you provided. These messages relate to your quote and tax preparation — for example, confirming your estimate, scheduling, or following up on your request.

• You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
• Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service.

How we use and protect your information

Your information is used solely to respond to your request and provide tax services. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — including your phone number and SMS consent — with third parties for their marketing purposes. Information is shared only with the service providers that help us operate (such as our secure website hosting and messaging providers), and only as needed to deliver our services to you.

As a tax preparation firm, we follow the confidentiality standards that apply to tax professionals, including IRS Circular 230 and Section 7216 of the Internal Revenue Code, which restrict the use and disclosure of tax return information.
